Celebrity Bag: Kim Kardashian carries Judith Leiber clutch

Kim Kardashian in a super tight pink dress, transparent pumps and statement sunglasses is not unusual. What is seemingly off in the picture is her Judith Leiber "Rainbow French Fries" minaudiere, not because she cannot afford it, but because it's the first time we've seen her carry a bag like that.

This Judith Leiber clutch costs a staggering $6,625 at Lane Crawford. It is fully encrusted with different colored Austrian crystals. Since the famed bag designer passed away a couple of months ago, owning one of her designs is like having a museum piece in your closet.

Handbag designer Judith Leiber has died at 97

The famed handbag designer, Judith Leiber, joined her creator today just a few hours after the passing of her husband for 72 years. Judith Leiber is known for her quirky and whimsical handbag designs that are coveted by the rich and famous. Some of her clients include Beyonce who was seen carrying the black panther clutch and Madonna who proudly showed her skull clutch during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. 

"I like to do things that are crazy yet practical. My mantra is to do a bag that looks good as empty as it is stuffed," Leiber told Vogue in an interview.

I think this looks more like a house decor than a clutch.  I admire Judith Leiber for experimenting with clutch shapes and sizes but I think this is better as a show piece than bringing in special events with your gorgeous evening dress.  This pagoda clutch is fully covered with crystals.  You can check this out at Neiman Marcus and this sells for $6,795.00.
